Mk2's a much better car than the mk1 in every aspect. I made the move and don't regret a minute of it.

It's probably one if the better colours too although white would be top of my list if I didn't have mine.

Controversial views there Raf.  I'm sort of with you on this one though - the Mk1 is the better looking car out of the two.  I always thought the MK2 looked a bit melted at the front & too big for it's wheel base.  However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and no doubt there are some people who love their Mk2 Octavias as much as you love your MK1.
