I connect my iPhone to the car with Bluetooth.  I never get message tones from my phone when it is connected like this and the ringtone is the iPhone ringtone replayed through the speakers.  

 

I can't get it to play the chosen ringtone from the entertainment system like my friend who has an Android Phone.  

 

Is this just a limitation of the Apple interface?

I have no issues with the iPhone (5s) ringtone going through the speakers, it plays the appropriate ringtone for the person calling.

However I've not had any message tones being played, slightly annoying, however you could argue that thiamin a safety feature to stop drivers looking at their phone whist driving.

Thanks for the reply.  Do you mean that your iPhone 5s uses the Skoda ringtones that are preset into the Admundsen or the iPhone ringtones?

On the otherside of the coin can I stop it bloody ringing and just show up on the screen.
