Leon Cupra R/TT/S3 steering rack question

Featured Replies

Just a bit of advice needed please.

I've just picked up a seat Leon cupra R subframe, steering rack, cast wishbones and hubs-well chuffed! Going to strip it all sand blast it, hammerite smooth and get it all on to go with the new H&R ARB's and coilovers.

But... As you can see by the picture below, the steering rack is missing the part that contains the torsion bar that the hydraulic lines go into (forgive my layman's description!).

My question is, will the one off my vRS be a direct exchange? I'm thinking not, my thoughts being that as the TT rack has less turns from lock to lock I'm assuming the gearing on that part on the vRS rack will be different to the TT rack.

Could anyoneshed any light on this one who may have come across this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply buddy, what about the spline on the shaft? Would that match up with the teeth in the rack?
