So, yesterday I'm sat in my car waiting for some people when I notice this funny plug in my drivers side door. I've owned the car almost 3 years now and not once noticed this. 

 

Anyone have any ideas? The wires are blue striped and brown striped. All looks 100% oem to me but theres nothing obvious it should plug into.

 

 

I think It is the tweeter speaker plug

,located just behind the mirror.

Certainly looks like the tweeter plug but how it got there is a mystery, unless youve had your door card off recently

ah, that would make perfect sense. I've never had the door cards off so must been like that a while. Is this the speaker that people usually unplug? Or was that the rears?

No idea, more interestingly why was the door card off in the first place?

Someone fitted aftermarket tweeters?  You would in that scenario remove and unplug the oem tweeter I think.

Just pop the tweeter off and have a look 

Yep that's a speaker connector, as mushtafa says it's probably off the tweeter.
