I've had my 1.4 tsi combi for nearly 2 months now and i'm very pleased with the fuel economy I'm getting. I've not had much chance to drive more than a couple of miles a day since I got the car due to suffering an illness but when I do 50 mpg is easily attainable. The same journeys in my previous 1.2 yeti I'd be lucky to get beyond 37 mpg. If anyone has doubts about the 1.4 tsi and it not having cylinder shutdown, don't worry. When I got the car I filled it with momentum 99. Now I've given it a tank full of regular so I'll see how that compares.

Youve actually got 50mpg over a tank? That isnt half bad at all considering the power it has.
