I wonder if anyone out there had looked into if it's possible to change 2012 Monte steering wheel (which I hate!!) for the current 2014 one? When I dropped into my dealer last month and had a look a current spec Monte, I loved the look of the new wheel. I asked a parts guy to look into it for me (as he as been very helpfull) I now I have a price for the new wheel, but I was hoping that the airbag etc would be the same. But on speaking to him today, all the part numbers are different!! But are the parts interchangable, ie are they the same - the big question??

IIRC Brimma swapped his 1.6TDi wheel for a vRS MFSW so I'd say it's more than possible.

You should be fine BUT it will be an expensive swap since you will need to change airbag too due to the new shape.
