Diverter Valve problem?

Featured Replies

Just wanted to confirm if I am correct. Last weekend I was on a track day and had a bit of bad luck. After my first warm up lap I was screaming day the straight and then went into the first corner and then upon the exit of the corner I basically had no power and the car wouldn't even do 100km/h. So I head into the pits and parked it. I then went and had a chat to my tuner and he said it sounds like your diverter valve mate. Well I decide to take it for a quick spin outside and low and behold it is working fine. So I though lets give this another try. Next heat, I complete the warm up lap ok and go into my first flying lap. At this point all appears ok until at the end of the straight when changing from 4th to 5th (just before the first corner) I feel it lose all power again. So you guessed it back to the pits and day ended.

From what I can workout. When at full throttle on the straight and changing from 4th to 5th (twice) the diverter valve was not closing and hence the turbo was not powered.

So what I am curious to ask is has anyone else had this problem? Also what are peoples personal views between the oem diverter valve and the Forge replacement?
