Hi guys I have a citygo as a hire car tonight the fuel line on display flashed fir a few seconds is there any thing wrong with the car as there is no Manual in the glove box

The fuel gauge only operates if the ignition is switched on.

The fuel tank has a capacity of about 35 litres. If the fuel gauge in the fuel tank reaches the reserve capacity level, the warning symbol will appear in the Instrument cluster. or the symbol  will flash for 10 seconds together with the remaining segments in the instrument cluster display . There are now about 4 litres of fuel remaining in the tank. This symbol is a reminder for you, that you must refuel

I concur... just fill her up

 

or... put like 10 quid in if its on hire and was that low when you pick it up!

It also makes an audible bing or bong type noise then the warning light appears when low on fuel.

 

You never expected to have much fuel in it did you when you picked it up?

I got to 402 miles and just going into the red and chickened out
