Help (with PCP)

Featured Replies

I had a Citigo Sport on PCP and traded it in because I needed something bigger and more powerful... Now I find myself needed the citigo back for the economy all round (fuel, insurance etc) is it possible to change my car AGAIN?!

And I forgot to mention, I traded the citigo sport in for a Fabia Monte Carlo, but again need the citigo back, not necessary the sport (MC)

so long as you have some equity in the car or can pay the deposit shouldn't be a problem

how long you had the monte?

I've had the monte around about 5 months now, but as circumstances have changed, it would be great to HALF the running costs of the car with a Citigo S, but yeah 5 months!

Just so you know, I have deleted your duplicate post in the Fabia II section

You only need one post fella

You can change from one PCP to another any time you like. :)

But bear in mind that if you are (and have been) buying new, you can be in negative equity unless you put in a decent deposit.

This is because car values drop by thousands as soon as you take the car.

Is it really going to be cheaper to change cars again to save a bit on running costs compared to a drop of £2,000 to £3,000 in depreciation?

Assuming they were PCPs on new cars.

It also means getting another new Citigo means you get to lose thousands as soon as you drive that too.

Just strikes me as an odd way to save money.

I traded my Citigo in after three months with 2,000 miles on the clock and lost around £3,000 on it.

That pays for a lot of petrol and insurance.

If you want to save money, buy a used one.  Even if it's under warranty.

And also, do I have to go back and get another Skoda, is it possible to go to Seat or VW as they all fall under Volkswagen finance services?

If you have any negative equity in your current deal you'll need to clear that before you can get out.

So you should be able to then get another PCP anywhere... As you are starting the thing again.
