Apparently,......

Featured Replies

So I have a 63 plate VRS TSI hatch that I have to say is running like a dream, best mpg so far of nearly 47 on a run!!! Plus had a snip under 6 seconds 0-60 dash recorded, suffice to say I'm happy.

Apparently my car has tow bar prep, had a look and indeed it has the necessary, however my question is, I've heard the cooling system is upgraded on cars with the tow bar prep and wondered whether that is A) actually true and B) what impact it would have on my car vs one that doesn't have tow bar prep??

Can you point to your source that confirms tow bar prep gets a cooling upgrade on uk cars? Thanks :)

I read it on another post on here a while ago, think relating to fitting a tow bar and it was mentioned in there,..

However, I have also read somewhere on the internet that this is the case. I'm not bothered either way, just keen to understand whether this is factual or not?

Ah right, I did see that one. Any post that starts with 'supposedly...' I'd ignore! I've not found any proof of it in the uk. Easy enough to tell though if you can see or get an under bonnet shot of one that doesn't have tow bar prep - you'd see the different fan setup. :)

Supposedly a factory ordered VRS can be built and delivered within 12 weeks of ordering - according to my local dealer.

So thats where all the 28 year old single malt has gone.

Can I ask what dealer said That? It has to be Arnold Clark ?
