Trim surround for double din - stream pfl

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Got a pre-fl octavia with the stream hu. Going to be replacing it with a pioneer app radio for the features inc Bluetooth without the pretty big expense of OEM.

Anyone done similar? (Stream to aftermarket) and know which trim adapter i would need?

Thanks guys, Dale

I have also read that skoda do a genuine can-ISO block. Will my dealer be able to order this? Anyone know a part number?

Dealer double din conversion kit is around the £60 iirc. If you're not after an immaculate finish, eBay can be your friend! My single din conversion was under £20 and you'll need a piggy back fuse for a switched live from the fusebox if you don't go genuine.

there nothing special about the iso connector on the skoda kit as you still need to connect it to a switched live but the plastics are superior to aftermarket kits.

if you don't want the hassle of finding a switched live from the fuse box you can get a plug and play lead off ebay like this one

Thats perfect matey.... Wiring up a live wouldn't bother me, but for only £30 I wouldn't be saving anything really in doing so. [emoji106]

I'm thinking plastic weld then filler to the trim anyway and having it painted gloss black to match the rest of my trim. When fitting an aftermarket unit, I presume the unit goes in with the cage, then the trim clips on after like the OEM one?
