Auto door locking - can it be enabled on the Yeti ?

Featured Replies

I wanted to enable auto-locking of the doors on my Yeti (a 2011 pre-FL).

I used VCDS to change the auto-locking setting to "Enabled", as I have on my previous VAG cars, but it doesn't seem to have had any effect.

Does anyone know whether auto-locking is actually supported on the Yeti ?

If so - are there any other settings I need to change to enable it ?

Thanks for any info.

Yes it can be enabled. I have done several.

Can't remember the exact coding off the top of my head (it may be in the VCDS section?) but it will be obvious when you see it.

OK cheers.

I did look really obvious in VCDS, so I didn't think I could have got it wrong...

Also just found this post which says it can be done via Maxidot. Didn't even think of looking there to do it, go so used to using VCDS on previous cars!

Back in my old car today, to drive it somewhere to sell on, so will have a look when I'm back in the Yeti.

Agree with previous poster, it can be done via Maxidot.

Agree with previous poster, it can be done via Maxidot.

But it needs to be activated first via VCDS if it  hasn't been done already

( I think )

Not on the Yeti, Andy. It is all done through the Maxidot menu.

Remember that each key needs to be programmed!!

Agree it must be possible - works on mine ever since I picked it up.

I'm glad this came up again!  Went out to the car and dealt with it straight away.

Then came back in and read Graham's reminder that it's key-specific.  Had to find madam's key and go and do it again!  :swear:

Reminder to self:  Read to the end of the thread!!

Don't worry Bri, in our house "her" keys are set up differently to mine but she keeps picking the wrong ones up and then moans................................

. :wall:

Found the option on the Maxidot menu, all setup now.
