my fabia1 tinted windows for your non tinted ones

Featured Replies

The fabia I recently purchased for my work commute has had the windows tinted. Proper pro job. Apparently 30% front and limo rear.

Im not a fan and plan on getting it removed. But I thoughd id see if anyone fancies swapping glass.

The tailgate obviously I cant remove but swapping the sides may be of some use to someone.

Im located in pontypridd south wales

Ye bit of a logistical nightmare lol

might be a tough job as the door carriers are generally riveted in so it'd be a right ball ache to get access to take the glass out and then put the door cards back in

I can offer untinted glass for swaps, but it will involve a drive to Devon, doing the swap, and then driving home again....  I have tools but little know how :D  I think to get glass out you need to unbolt the metal carrier from the door skin, and also likely pull out the quarterlight in the door as well.

Personally, I will probably end up getting tinted windows just done myself, but could pay something as an incentive to come down. :)   I can't come to you as the said glass is in a car which cannot move. :)

Glass comes out easy enough. No need to remove the carrier just the door card iirc :-)

As much as I love Devon I honestly cant spare the time at the moment matey. Super busy in work so im doing a lot of over time and a 2 month old babythat keeps me ooccupied when I get home. Im lucky to get a spare hour on the weekend for potching with the car unfortunately.

Keep the tinted glass! It keeps the car nice and cool when it's parked up in the sun

im pretty sure it would be easier if you just took the tint off your windows..? :nerd:

Nope many hours of heating scraping and then getting any remaining glue off. Far easier to take a window out

Don't fancy a weekend in sunny Devon then? Going to be cracking this weekend! I can even offer a lawn to set up a tent for free! :D I'll pay you 20 quid if you swap the glass too!
