New clutch high bite point

Featured Replies

mmm,

well I am pretty sure the op has some air in there,

your slave will still more slightly and the air wont compress first then move the slave, they will go together and the air will only compress when the slave resistance is enough to make it compress,

So when I did my cluch at CN Tuning when I replace the SMF kit with the std setup, my pedal was long and soft with the bite at the top yet after bleeding through over and over again it was then near the bottom, now its bedded in its about 3/4 down to the floor.

My wifes needs bleeding again as its near the top.

OP bleed it and getback to us.

your slave will still more slightly and the air wont compress first then move the slave,(as the air compresses your foot will be traveling closer to the floor with the slave cylinder not movong) they will go together and the air will only compress when the slave resistance is enough to make it compress,(by which time your foot will nearly be on foor and the clutch will the disengage)

My wifes needs bleeding again as its near the top.

OP bleed it and getback to us.

A clutch bite gets higher as the friction plate wears down. Meaning the pressure plate does not clamp it as tight
