2003 1.9tdi electrics problem

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Had to tow my wife's ex Xsara down to my Mum's place to keep it offroad whilst I sort our the column switches.

The cable to the tow lights came loose and got run over by the Xsara's tyres, ripping the cable in two.  I can sort that, but after this happened I had no direction indicators on my car (hazards work fine) and the glow-plug heater warning keeps flashing.

Everything else seems OK, and my car will start fine with the glow indicator going out as usual on start but coming back on after a few seconds.

I'm stuck here (50 miles from home) without my manuals, so can anyone suggest where to look, please?  I don't even know which fuses to check :(

Regards, Mike

It should be fuse 2.

Looks like I've done a bonzer job in the electrics; brake lights, hazards and indicators all out.  I'll take a look at the appropriate fuses in the morning.

Thanks for help, guys.  Much appreciated.

Regards, Mike

F2 Indicators, F39 Hazards, F7 Reverse, F13 Stop, F36 Rear fog, F22 RH Tail, F23 LH Tail. If you have a bypass relay for the towbar, you may need to remove it or you may keep blowing fuses.
