So fitting my bluetooth unit which ran all wires found place for heat unit so putting all back together and I can't get the head unit back in with that big ass connector and suggestions really stuck now

thanks

Either take the top box out and play with it from above or route the quadlock to the side of the cage. The top box just eases out with a plastic spatula and then you just need to disconnect the hazard switch.

One option that can help is to remove the top storage box. Just gently prise the edges with a trim removal tool or old credit card and it will pop out. Push hazard switch through and unclip.

With that out you then have the ability to reach down and manoeuvre some of the wiring, before pushing the headunit back into place.

For this part number i used to get the unit

It needs the pairing to be done in maxidot. Have you tried that?

  • Author

No not yet as i haven't got the gear to do it..... i have a friend who does but isn't sure how to do it on the skoda system

It may work without coding. Just make your phone discoverable and try from the maxidot menu...

I have no option to go phone on maxidot its just standard screen must need coding.....

Yes agreed, 77 telephone needs ticking in the gateway module 19...

Then code up module 77 using the coding helper. The last two bytes are 01 01, which is not obvious from the helper.
