How easy is it to check if my diverter valve has split?

 

Also how much are diverter valves going for and is it best to go for the D or the G?

Jack up the car or ramps etc . Take off the undertray and under the drivers side if you look up and see where the sump is and oil sensor look right up from there you will see the standard black plastic valve with a sensor lead coming out of it .
