Just reading the manual and I am confused by this phrase

The 12-volt power sockets and any connected appliances can also be operated when the ignition is switched off or the ignition key is withdrawn »

So you can't use the socket with the engine running? Surely this is wrong since you shouldn't normally use it with the ignition off!
