superb II FL fuel tank valve detail?

Featured Replies

Hello good people,

Maybe its a little bit wierd question, but i dont get any peace at all and need to know..

I gave my own skoda superb II FL (1.8 TSI) to my work company to use for few weeks while i was on vacation. Today i got my car back and noticed while re-fueling some interesting detail that i haven't noticed before. Please see photo attached.

I dont know why but i remember that there were stainless steel valve instead of this plastic device, also if i checked closely the fuel tank valve rubber seal was fitted poorly and seems that someone have opened/closed it. Is it any possible that company installed some fuel sensor (tracking device) for me not knowing?

I have tried to check from google for fuel valve pictures, but haven't found any. I would be very appreciated if someone would look for this detail at their car (superb II, 1,8 tsu) and let me know if you have the same construction or not.

Big thanks!

K.

I don't have the petrol engine, but isn't that device to stop you from putting diesel into your petrol car?
