Sharkfin Colour Coding

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if anyone has had their black sharkfin sprayed to match the car and if so how much did it cost. Thinking that it being colour coded would just look better than the standard black plastic sharkfin etc...

Cheers

My gloss one came with the car when new. I thought they were all black gloss those that have them, perhaps not.

As above I think mine suits as well.

Yep, mines gloss, thought they all were. Wit careful masking up it should be possible to spray the Sharkfin, but mine has a seal under it so the paint would tend to come off that. Only alternative would be to remove the Sharkfin, spray it and re-fit with silicone sealant under it?

The gloss black is what I have. Just looks odd not being the same colour as the car. Other cars' shark fins seem to be body coloured so it just seems to look a bit cheap to me it being black.

Cheers

Noticed that most of Audi's aerials (certainly on top end A4 and A6) are colour coded. Mine is just a dummy sharkfin (no GPS) and have often thought about ditching it for a painted version.
