Pre FL stock

Featured Replies

Just did my normal Sunday morning call by my local dealer and he has at least 8 pre FL for sale and one s/h FL. I wonder if these are all trade ins agains new Yeti.

Also had time to check out number plate holes. The front has four dimples ready for drilling through and the rear has two plastic rawl plugs.

Well you could have measured them, Don............................................... ;)  :giggle:

Well DonjSZ5, my wife thinks I'm a bit Yeti obsessed but I've NEVER checked out number plate holes.......

You've never lived

Double sided sticky pads are much neater!

& easier for number plate thieves to peel off as 1 of my relatives found out - Had replacements screwed on .

Screwed or Glued, If the Scum want them they will take em.

They didn't put enough on then...I put loads of sticky pads on a previous car, and couldn't get the plate off without breaking it - as I found out :)

The best thing I have found for sticking number plates on is glaziers tape. Imagine a 20m plus roll of sticky pads and you get the idea. Brilliant stuff.

To DonjSZ5 - was your car factory-fitted with towbar prep or not? This was the main source of problems that I had/have (I have subsequently ordered the genuine VAG loom and module, but have yet to fit it).

No, I did not opt for a bar because the 1.2, IMHO, is rather small for towing anything other than a 3 x 4 trailer. I bet this gets a few replies. I am used to my A4 V6, 2.4's grunt for this sort of thing.

Isn't there someone with a 1.2 Yeti towing a small caravan?
However I agree with Don, it is not an engine I would want to do it with, other than a small camping trailer.
