Featured Replies

I've just acquired a 2009 Skoda Octavia VRS LE with a Bolero headunit and maxidot.

What bluetooth module do I need to retrofit???

Thanks

Cheers, still a bit unsure though as to what module is going to be compatible and what I need to source!

On that thread there is the part number of the module you need pop that in ebay and it will have the module for sale

I've just bought this module:

3C8 035 730

Any good??

That's the same one as I put on the link so yeah right one......does it come with mic antenna and wiring to bolero

Nah, it's just the module, so still gotta source all the other bits!!  :envy:

Apparently 'Eddie' is the guy to speak to, but I don't know who he is!

Oh right fair enough how much did you pay for just the module.....

This'll make you sick.....£30 posted!

Note its quite old (no suffix) and only rSap and no bluetooth streaming. It is still ok potentially but only works with Samsungs and Nokias without rooting the phone. Pretty sure you can't get an iPhone to work with it. It's certainly not the same as the one linked to above, with a lot less functionality.

Hi Adam,

I can't believe there are sooo many modules....all seems very complicated.

I've currently got a Samsung....don't intend to ever have an iPhone.  If I change in the future, it'll be to an HTC again.

What WILL I be able to do with this module??  Anything other than answer/make calls??

There are and its pretty annoying. I had an equivalent in my pre FL car and it would also download the phonebook and allow SMS to display on the maxidot. It didn't allow streaming and also not certain if it works with the FL maxidot bit I think does.

See here for more info (a few errors but generally correct):

Seems that'll it be fine for me then.  Don't need to stream as don't really do the whole music thing, and have Aux input anyway and mine if pre-FL too!!

Thought LEs were the same as FLs?

Luckily its the same loom so you can always choose to upgrade the module later.

Hasn't got the FL headlights, but has got FL dash though (I think)

That's what I thought. It is probably the dash that determines which maxidot it is (ie preFL vs FL maxidot).

Well, reading texts from the Maxidot would be cool, but as long as I can make and receive calls from it and via the bolero, then it'll do the job.

Any idea who 'Eddie' is to get the wiring loom from???

You will be able to do that but without maxidot you might strughle to pair. You can sell it on for 30 quid prob anyway if it doesn't work so give it a whirl.

Eddie's handle on here is eddie-nl. Drop him a PM.

Yeah, will just have to see what it does/doesn't do!!

Cheers for the handle.....will get in touch with him now!!
