is there a easy way to disconnect this part as it sounds like a hoover lol

It's very easy to remove the entire system. It will put the engine management light on for open circuit and incorrect flow. 

 

The open circuit fault is easy to get around by fitting a resistor in place of the pump. The incorrect flow fault on the other hand, needs mapping out of the ECU. 

 

If you don't want to pay for a remap to remove the fault code, it could be easier just to repair the faulty pump. Chances are the rivets have failed and the pump has tried to split apart. Nothing a few nuts/bolts can't fix!

2nd the rivet issue happened on my golf would occasionally put it into limp home mode drilled out rivets replaced with bolts didn't get the fault code again on 80,000 miles of driving
