I am lookng to buy a used Octavia and there are dealers out there advertising 2011 and 2012 models as having a 1.4L engine with 140 bhp. Are they simply mistaken, or was the 140PS engine actually fitted to Octy IIs?

 

I thought the 140PS engine was only introduced in 2013 for the new Octy III.

 

Oh, and is there anywhere here on the forum where I might have found this info - I searched but got no hits that helped?

They were 122ps prior to the mk 3
