Need to find a VCDS guru.. Help?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Please help, I've been to two Manchester specialists, VAG technic and Awesome GTi and neither of them can solve this problem.

The bracket on my adaptive headlight module on drivers side FL xenon has snapped, the module has been hanging in engine bay and got wet. I now have failed adaptive function, and bulb warning on dash.

I have a new part, but neither of the companies above can get the fault code to clear.... Doing my head in?? Need a guru, can anyone recommend please?

As it stands, lights work fine, just no self levelling, or cornering function..more annoying is orange bulb warning light..

Thankyou for any help

.. Hmm, dam adaptive xenons, great when they are good.. Nightmare when a fault!

I'll share with you guys if I ever solve it? :(

The only thing I can say is recently after recoding my headlight (xenon) module I got a AFSII adaptive headlight error, the basic settings had to be carried out in a specific order in order to calibrate them.

Once calibrated the fault code could then be cleared and the AFS function returned. Both companies you mentioned as 'VAG' specialists so I'm sure they know this.

Thanks, yes you'd think they'd know this?

I'm not sure what to do next... Twice handed to specialists, with me willing to pay for fix.. And twice they cannot solve it?

Next I guess skoda main dealer, but they will want to change whole headlight as the clip is snapped and don't think they will go with my cable ties solution (which is possibly better than the current assembly)

I will have a look at it of course but it's a long way to travel...... Try your local dealer first

Thankyou for that.. I may take you up on it though as if you think you can solve it, I'd rather take the two hour drive down the M6 and pay someone to get it right than keep bouncing it around places, having to re tell the story and hoping they might crack it??

Unfortunately like everything there are no guarantees, I have only done this on my car (mk3 not mk2)

Theory is the same but there maybe something else physically wrong which isn't being pickup up on.

Good luck, let me know if you can't get it sorted

Hi all ,

i don't need to create new thread , my question is also about VCDS and coding.

It isn't a necessary customization , but maybe has somebody experience. There are lot options in our cars.

I made a lot changes on my Octavia (II FL , 2010) , but there are still some questions ... :)

My original corner lights are working in the night without any problems. But , if i stops and i let engine running with steering wheel turned a bit to left or right , then is corresponding corner light ON. This is OK and set from factory.

It is maybe any solution , how to disable this function if is DSG on ,,P,, position or the handbrake is deployed ? Byte like ,, Disable Cornerlights if handbrake deployed,, :)) ?

Thank you !

Not possible I'm afraid. Just don't turn the wheel when parked?

I try to refresh the question...

Maybe after some time, we found a solution. Im trying, trying, but without sucess. I also check in coding the option ,,cornering time limited,, but i doesn't see any difference, and absolutely no to my question..

Thanks guys !
