Octavia Scout 2007 DIY tool requirements (Torx bits/sockets sizes?)

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Can anyone shed any light on the specific sizes of Torx bits and sockets required to remove the wheel arch trim and inner liners front and rear along with the plastic sill trim. Also if anyone is aware of any other panels/trims etc on the Scout using the Torx "star" type aperture fixing please comment on what sizes you have used.

I think I read somewhere that T25, T27 may be required but would like to confirm before I buy a set of bits and sockets only to find I only need 2.

Model is as per my profile.

Thanks

Not sure about the wheel trim fasteners, but there's also a quite a few T30s scattered around the Octavia, so that would be another handy size to have in your tool kit.  Have a few spares ready - some of the originals are bound to be badly corroded.

T25 for arch liner screws

The scout plastic arches are bonded on with adhesive, was a body shop job in my case.
