VRS Injector question

Featured Replies

Can someone with a bit more knowledge than me please explain what would happen if a 100 injector was fitted with 3 130 injectors on a vrs, or even if it would fit, not that that id do a silly thing like that, as I understand there different flow rates and that, I had one replaced recently and it doesnt feel right, at about 2000 revs i get a slight hesitation as i press the throttle down lightly especially on hills, If I gun it it seems fine but as I tend to try and keep fuel consumption down at 70 mph and on inclines it does hesitate more than on flats but you can still feel it lightly on the steering and pedals.

Thanks in advance

No idea what would happen but it could be the injector loom break down. Seen i t appear on here a few times

When the Injector was replaced I was told he replaced the loom as well, anybody else have any idea on this

have the injectors tested any decent garage can do this

Any decent garage has thousands of pounds worth of injector testing equipment just incase?

Three? Surely would be four?

Had this hesitation on my car also... I were told it is normal of the BLT engine to do this...

Might sound like a really silly question but turn off ASR and drive - see if it continues.

OK so I turned the asr light off and sweet Jesus the car is a different animal, its not stuttering as much hardly noticeable now but the car is like a rocket, 2nd 3rd 4th 5th just kept pulling, its always been a little hit and miss with the power, mainly coming mostly in 3rd, but getting it through most of the gears now, guess asr will be staying off lol..

Now anybody have any idea why switching the asr off has done this.

totally unrelated to fuelling/injectors.  That's just a traction control thing

Had a wheel bearing done recently?

nope aint had wheel bearings done lately, all this started with a failed injector which was replaced, since being replaced its been a bit hesitant specially on inclines in 5th, 6th, thought the guy who replaced the injector might have replaced the one injector with a none 130 one, ie one out of a 100 engine, hence me asking what would be the outcome if that was done.

Never owned a diesel before this one, so not very up on how this all works, I have had it scanned with no reported faults.

The asr thing was just to weird, Car was totally different when I switched it off, more responsive through all the gears, and the hesitation is very slight now Ive turned it off as it was only a suggestion that a previous poster recommended.

Glad it worked for you... I am no car expert but I found I had this issue with my vRS - turning off the ASR made it alot better...

Given that this has nearly fixed your issue I would say the issue is with the ASR and not the injectors.
