I have a 2010 Fabia Scout 1.6cr which currently has 42k miles. Full dealer service and out of warranty now :(   Whilst driving yesterday the yellow glow plug light began to flash, then the yellow engine control system for exhaust light also lit up. 

The glow plug light stopped flashing and through the day the yellow engine control light stayed lit.

Today this lamp has also gone out. 

 

I have plugged a code reader into the OBD 2 and it displayed a fault of P2454.

 

Could someone tell me what is going on and how to fix as I am loosing faith in my car as there have been several faults since purchase :(

probably dealers, if not I did find some on fleabay

 

first thing you need the part number and price from the dealers (unless someone on here can provide it)

I have Greenline I but if it is the same type of sensor they fail regularly.  They areb easy to fit to the 1.4tdi engine - took me about 15mins.
