Hi from rural Watford-ish

Hi - I've just joined as I'm in the process of buying a new Yeti, which I collect on Monday

I'm coming here from a one-year-old Kia Sportage, which is a good car but inappropriate for my needs. I bought the KX3 Satnav, which has the 2.0 diesel unit. The problem being that I only drive low annual mileages these days, being retired, and although I'm assured that the DPF on this car should not be affected, I'm getting poor economy and it does feel like it's choking up. I need a 4x4 because of the distance from my home to a public road - about 1.5 miles on often-muddy and sometimes flooded tracks.

So, I've chosen a Yeti L&K 1.8 TSi. The only car which was readily available to me (I don't like to wait for things) is a Cappuccino Beige model with, fortunately, the spare wheel option. I'm told the colour looks better than it sounds!

I'll probably be doing a lot of lurking and not much posting to start with, but be prepared for some stupid questions. smiley2.gif

Oh, my part-time "job" is that of Moderator on an Olympus photography forum, so if you want to know anything about these wonderful cameras, just ask.

Welcome to Briskoda. If Yeti owner feedback is anything to go by here, you will be delighted with your new car. And the 1.8TSI engine is wonderfully smooth and quiet, with a flat torque band from 1500rpm to 4500rpm. Enjoy. :)

Hello and Welcome to the forum!

Welcome.

I used to live in Watford and own an Olympus EP-1...
