Suspension issue opinions

Featured Replies

Hi I'm getting a funny noise from my 2010 skoda superb 1.9 greenline when I lift of the throttle. Sound's like it might be coming from exhaust but I also know my dmf is on the way out. Noise kinda makes car sound like an airplane. I had a look around the car to see if there was anything loose and I came across an issue with rear shock gaiters I think they're called. Anyone shed any light on either of my problems, would be appreciated. yqaseta2.jpgupy9a8yz.jpg

your bump stops are shagged.

Does that mean the shocks need replacing and could that be the noise I'm hearing?

I don't think your noise is related to your bump stops.  Bump stops are a separate part from the shocks and if the shocks are fine then there is no need to replace them.

Yeah I agree currently waiting on roadside assistance decided to let them take a look as I have a long drive home and want to get an opinion as to whether I'm going to damage car. Noise got louder today. Almost sounds like something is blowing in the wind but nothing is loose. Gets worse with exceleration and us barely audible at around town speed.

Roadside assistance guy said it is a wheel bearing. Gonna take it to garage tomorrow. Anyone any idea what I can expect to pay to have it replaced?
