Fabia vrs reliability at 180k

Featured Replies

Hi guys. It's been a while since I've been on here. I used to have a fabia vrs a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I've had a company car for a while now but it's time for a second car in the family. It's only going to get occasional use, 5k or so miles a year. I know I shouldn't be getting a diesel for economy like that but I just fancy a vrs again. I've seen one locally on an 04 plate with 180k on it. As I've been out of here a whole now, I would like some reliability opinions from owners who are up at that mileage now. What are they like to run and what should I be looking out for. Thanks guys.

How much is it for sale for !!! I bet its bloody cheap at that miles so why even worry if it seems to check out - you'd be able to afford 2,3,4,6X + for the price of say, one vRS SE ;)

There are some with that kind of miles on here, most have cold tootsies when it comes to miles though.

Mines still 114K and driving fine as standard, nothing major replaced really, last thing was the rad to fail as the most costly thing besides tyres in the last few years. Oh yeah, tyres do need to be replaced as wear n tear !

It all comes down to decent services. Matters much more than the actual miles, too many like to play about with guessing which oil to use (chainsaw oil will that work?) rather than the recommended etc, K.I.S.S comes to mind.

The history of the car in question is far and away the most important thing, not the miles on the clock
