OB Autodily

Featured Replies

Has anyone purchased anything from this website?

http://www.obautodily.cz/uvod/

I don't see any option for delivery to Ireland (or England) and no Paypal or other Credit Card payment options.

Looking for some confirmation that they post outside of Czeck & Slovak Republics and how you went about making payment.

I wrote to OBautodíly e mail with your request and interest, as soon as I get an answer I will inform here

The site only gives details for shipping to Czech Republic and Slovakia, but they use PPL which is a subsidiary of DHL.  They accept payment in cash or the (PPL) delivery driver can accept payment bu credit card (C.O.D!)

It would be great if they DID supply UK.  For example, Octavia III boot net, £50 here,27 euros from them - about £25.  Unfortunately, the 8 GB 'original Skoda SD card' (at £14 or so) is out of stock

Perhaps an enterprising member from the Czech republic could set up a system to take orders from members and make a few bob by acting as an intermediary.  Especially if they get those SD cards back in stock.  There is enough there at a reasonable price to interest many members

If he wanted a website to do so I would host it for a nominal fee.

Fantastic. Thanks.

maybe .... my friend is http://uav.ravecreative.co.uk/ ...

I'll wait for a response from OBautodíly ... then we'll see ...

but, in the UK for more than one recipient where to send?

Hravec,

What I was originally thinking of was that a member in the Czech Republic (and it looks like that would be you) would take orders from other members and order from OBautodíly and then forward the order directly to the member in other countries - initially England and Ireland.

To do this, you would need a minimal web site with an order form where the member would give their shipping details and the reference number of the order.  You would need to check the delivery charges, but I would suggest that you could simply have bands of charges based upon size and/or weight.

You would open a business Paypal account so that members could pay either by credit card or with their own Paypal account.

On top of the price of the goods and shipping you would add a markup to cover the Paypal cost (about 3.4% +20 or 25p, I think) and make a small profit to make this worth doing.

I would host the website for about £1 / month. (Let's say £10 / year)

Perhaps other members would indicate whether this would be of interest to them?

Why is this website of such interest? I just looked up the skoda logo'd wheel storage covers and they're cheaper on the skoda e-shop website than on obautodily. Neither seems to deliver outside Cz, so what advantage does obautodily give over trying to get stuff direct from Skoda?

I am not only at OBautodily buying even if you can buy it at a dealer of SkodaAuto, i have a lot of things you sell SkodaAuto ...

in the Czech Republic have almost the best prices even in some cases better than the seller of SkodaAuto

I presume Skoda site has a deal with the maindealers that they won't post outside Cz. Obautodily may not have such restrictions.

I received a reply from OBautodily:

Hello,

other countries after bad experiences are not interested to deal with. Have coolie transport and complaints.

Try to think of the possibility, suggested by the above procedure ....

Ok... where is this Skoda e-shop?

One of the administrators (ColinD) posted about something like this (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/314677-skoda-uk-online-accessories-ordering/) but I'm buggered if I can find it and the link on his post just goes to the main Skoda UK site.

Are you talking about the CZ shop?

Skoda e-shop is here: http://eshop.skoda-auto.com/cz/en/b2c

Yes it's a Czech thing, they don't deliver outside of the Skoda motherland. I discovered it when looking for alloy wheels and it seems every single option is there, and all at a very reasonable price. I was looking at the Minoris 16" wheels which according to Google currency conversion are about £105 each on this site.

There is no Skoda UK e-shop website with any alloys on it, let alone the full range, they seem to want you to call your local dealer. I have found one dealer that has some on the their own website, but only 2 or 3 options, rather than the dozens on the Czech e-shop. I rang my local Skoda dealer who quoted my £155 for the cheapest 16" rim in the catalogue and £225 each for the Minoris. That's more than double! I'm sure that shipping within EU wouldn't cost £120 per wheel... I would have thought £500 for a set of 4 as a UK retail price would be more than enough to give every link in the chain a sufficient piece of the pie, so to speak.

I did contact Skoda UK to ask whether there are any plans to get something like this e-shop website in the UK, but I got no response.

Hi dudes, come here

If you write in advance what you want. I am willing to order it from the dealer in Brno, 5 km from the Brno circuit for prices such as the e-shop ŠKODA AUTO

new information from Facebook OBautodily:

Hello, unfortunately we do not send abroad. We have a new e-shop (about a year) we are going to address and abroad. Currently, only send to Slovakia. Thank you for your understanding, OBAutodíly
