I am looking into getting a bike rack for the vRS, and seem to be overwhelmed by the number of towbar mounted ones.

 

I know the v5 doesn't have a towing weight so I can't tow, but can a towbar be fitted for putting bikes on, or is this a no-no too?

 

I will need the wiring anyway so I can put on a lightboard...

if your not pulling something that is in physical contact with the ground i cant see that it would be classed as towing, simply carrying, so it wont be a problem matey

No, as the towbar has to be approved for the vehicle, which it cannot be as there is no tow weight to match it to.
