Octy vRS Brake Wear Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Recently my brake warning light has been coming on...

I've traced it back to a broken wire in the brake pad wear sensor plug (car loom side not the pad side). Fortunately I've managed to do a "bodge" repair for the time being but ideally it needs replacing.

Typically I didn't take a picture of it but its the nearside front and its a cable which Y-branches off one plug to the pads and one to the ABS sensor.

Does anyone know how easy it is to replace and also have a part number?

I'm guessing probably a part only the main dealer could supply as its not generally something that's changed?

Many thanks in advance!

Here you go:

http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-wiring-set-for-speed-sensor-and-brake-wear-indicator-front-left-2004-2013-30414

Part no: 1K0927903B

You could also buy a replacement connector, a couple of repair wires and some heat shrink tubing and effect a repair that way too instead of replacing the whole assembly.

Thanks 0Wl. Thats exactly the part I was after! I didn't realize it would be such a reasonable price either?

Ill buy the whole thing rather than just the connector and have done with it... my soldering skills are dreadful!

Many thanks :)
