Rear Brakes Getting Hot

Featured Replies

A while back one rear brake was binding and overheating. Was freed off by local ATS. Couple of months later another garage who did an MOT, 70,000 miles, reported thin rear pads as an advisory. Had them replaced by same ATS (convenience) but then  both rear brakes  got hot yesterday on the first long run. The hand brake lever travel was also much reduced but returned to normal when things cooled off. Took it back to ATS and no fault can be detected, the callipers etc. being free. I hope the pads were just bedding in to the original discs and will do a check every journey. Not wanting to spend a lot of money. Front brake pads are original!
