Google.    The tyre is usually available for £75 to £80 a corner if you shop around.  :)

Searched for ages for the Federal's in this size and no where sells them, not even camskill. Only 215/40 I can find

I have them in 215/40 - perfectly acceptable size for fabia.

kumho - they are quite soft but give excellent grip - downside they wear quickly

Quick wear because they are soft is why they are grippy :)

where from they are £264 a pair on ebay

Are you looking for road legal track tyres?

I use R888's - fantastic grip for track use and road but they are expensive !!

Woosung Dark Spin Horse. ;-)

They're out of stock at camskill :(

I got 4 for that price, delivered!  I forget where though - It was something like mytyres/camskills/oponeo.  One of the likely culprits.  Search 595RS-R on this forum and you should find a thread or two when they've been cheap.

This - Kumho KU39, excellent dry and wet grip IMHO also very reasonably priced.

I bought mine from tyreleader.co.uk cheapest I found, delivery was free, my local tyre joint charged shrapnel to fit and balance

Id recommend a good 4 wheel alignment whilst your at it to get the most life from the tyres, that and regular air pressure check  ;)

£62.69 a piece

Pilot sport 3, great tyre. Mind you I can't see the fronts lasting much more than about 10k. Don't seem to be the greatest wearing.

Heard nothing but good things about the Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric.

How Are these wearing for you?

What's wet grip like and how do they deal with standing water?

Cheers

I did a whole day at Castle Combe in heat of around 25 degrees and they still have a lot of life left, even the front left which took a hammering.  I also did 45 minutes at Combe back in the spring when they were brand new and they were barely run in after that.  I have driven in the wet with them and they feel as good as any other tyre to be honest.  The sort of grip you would still expect from a decent rain tyre.

Wish I had seen this before I had the RS3's put on.

I fancy the Federals myself next time. I've had the 595SS before and they were ok, a little hard but still decent.

I've seen the "R"s for sale on several sites. Reviews state/suggest an extremely stiff sidewall and quite a hard compound. LOL at the bloke who commuted on them for 18K in a Passat!

I have Michelin pilot on the front and have covered over 30k with still plenty of life left. Mind you I do a lot of motorway driving with the ocasional spirited blast.
