Today I am driving...

...an Octy 2 FSI as a courtesy car so here are my impressions after an hours mixed drive to work.

Firstly the engine. I have no idea what the FSI engine is but it feels slow compared to either of the vrs which is to be expected. It is however very smooth even though it seems to me like I';m revving the gonads off it.

I'm very inpressed with the interior. I presume it's the most basic model as there are no badges to indicate otherwise. The equipment level is reasonable - only thing I'd add is climate control and a CD changer. Seats are slightly too soft for me but that's probably more to do with me being a lard ****.

I just love the ride, I can even live with the roll in the corners and the ASR off light is much sexier than the old one (sad I know).

The only down side for me is that

your not boring mate

Thought these FSI units were meant to be economical?

We are all getting older.I told my wife to shoot me if I ever wanted an estate but thats what I am leaning towards

I too find the estates more appealing, which makes me very much like my dad! Which is scary!

I told my wife to shoot me if I ever wanted an estate.

I think the

Was it a 1.6 or a 2.0?

Got the feeling it was a 1.6 if its pretty sluggish.

The 150 BHP 2.0 FSi isnt to bad at all.

It was the 1.6.

It would have to be a diesel with the miles I do otherwise I'd end up going for a new vrs estate.

Furby will deffo be replaced by an old man estate though (sorry to old man Bengie).

Get a new vRS diesel estate then when its out.

Did you have chance to use the 2 litre bottle holder incorporated into the front door pocket? Hydration is very important.....

I'm the same - I have the Octy estate and my dad has an Avensis estate - worryingly they also have number plates that differ by one character!

My dad doesn't drive and has no opinions on cars so long as he can have a lift.

It's 1.5 litre.
