downpipe/ exhaust question

Featured Replies

i want to get my octavia mapped (2007 2.0l VRS TFSI) but i dont want to do it without changing the exhaust, or its bits anyway, i was thinking of replacing downpipe and then getting it mapped, anyway looked at APR:

and they do downpipe bit but would this mean car wont pass MOT? i think there are few cats in this exhaust, so would changing downpipe itself affect it so much it wouldnt pass MOT? if so  do you guys know any catback system with sports cat that would pass mot?

You will need a sportscat to pass an mot and emissions test. Most are 200 cell. Slightly more restrictive than a decat, You may find an mot station happy to pass your car if your lucky ! Mot testers are now visually required to check the car for a cat if It hasn't it won't pass. Unless you slip him some beer tokens !
