The poorboys treatment

Featured Replies

So today i gave the car a 2003 octavia vrs in black the poorboys blackhole treatment and then ex-p sealent.

The car has been looked after very well mechanically in its life but apart from two half arsed attempts with some cheap turtle wax in my ownership since feb 2013 i dont think its seen any wax or polish.

I started by jetwashing the car all over, i then snowfoamed with fairy liquid and washed mitted it to remove any old wax before rinsing off again. I then applied some iron-x type product and this happened

I think there was alot of iron on the paintwork?

I then jetwashed all that away before snowfoaming with demon shine snow foam just to make sure no iron-x was left behind.

I gave the car the going over with the blackhole allowing it to cure for 1hr before applying the ex-p sealent

And the results

Wow - great results....... i looked at the first picture and my heart sank mate!

That's a weird effect from the Iron-out product - care to disclose the exact product?

Looks like you picked the right Poorbhoys products and did a top job!

Nice job BB

Thanks guys. I sprayed the iron-x on and ran inside for a quick tinkle and when i got back outside and saw that i pooped myself but it washed off fine.

It works pretty well

Yeah think I would have babbed it had I done that to my car lol.

Well done anyway looks good.

Some Iron-X equivalent products are able to be left to dry into a gel-like mask on the car, perfectly safe, you then just rinse off.

Of course, if it is not one of said products or the result is unexpected a change of underwear may be required when it produces results like the above.

I assume the whiteness is due to the iron content? I sprayed some on the roof of my mums silver zafira and it just went purple.

Cant really see it in the pictures but the floor around my car was purple from the run off

As my brain ticks over.

My first two guesses are that there is a reaction going on with washing up liquid residue or original LSP being eaten.
