Hey guys

Just a quick one. I'm looking at getting some white led lights (canbus free) for number plate. I've looked at fabia manual and it says C5W or T4W bulbs. On eBay, It's showing c5w's as festoon type and t4w and bayonet type. Do you know what size and model I would need exactly? Some of the listings are showing 36mm and 38mm? :-D cheers

What years your fabia mate?

I think Pre FL is 38mm festoon and FL is 36mm festoon as they changed the bulb holder type, but I'm not sure.

Defo festoon though .

Iirc it's the 36mm festoon for the number plates. Choose carefully the canbus can be a pain back there in my experience. I have led in mine but can't remember or find the link I used.

I have found a receipt from hidsdirect in my e-mails for 36mm festoon leds.

Mines a 2013 fabia. (The one without the torx screws in the holder)

Also thinking about changing the interior lights! Think the main interior bulb is also same as number plate according to the manual. Unsure of the two reading lights at the mo though.

The interior festoon on my 2013 Monte is larger than the number plate, 38mm.its also a tighter fit.

The map lights are w5w, be careful and get short stubby ones as longer bulbs make it impossible to put the housing back over them. These are not monitored by canbus.

The boot light is also w5w for reference.

Awesome. Cheers. Seem pretty good prices from them both. Other sellers are offering ridiculous low price bulbs but don't think they'd be great for 1.50 a bulb would they!

All my bulbs were bought from eBay and have been fine.

Make sure you get Canbus error free and you should have no pronlems.

Depends on the quality of them.

Iv had good quality ones in for about 8 months and no probs so far

Think I must have changed mine at the same time as you Otaylor38, mind are still going strong

Most of my LEDs were carried over from my old car and I've had my Monte just over a year now from new and not one failed bulb.

Fitted the led's to numberplate this evening. Really happy with them. They make such a difference :-). The ones I got have 3 on each bulb. Thinking now that it might have been better with more but at the same time, being number plate, I don't want it to look over the top.

Will get some interior LEDs ordered this week now too.

They only go in at a slight angle, but you cant tell once the holder is back in the car, n they look good imo. Defo bright enough.

Mine did. Bit wonky but you cant tell when its on (:
