Does mistsumi come with a cable?

Featured Replies

Seems some cars do and some dont. My new vrs is due end of the month. Will it have a cable for the mitsumi or do i need to buy one? If so whats best to get and where from?

I believe it should come with one.

Mine didn't.

No it doesn't (even the brochure says their available desperately) but some dealers throw them in.  Genuine one still in the packets can can bought for a fraction of the dealer price from ebay.

Mine came with one yesterday, I would image they are happy to throw in the 30-pin ones since the lightning type devices have been available for a good while now. Happily I still have my iPhone 4s and a 5th gen iPod.

Its the 30pin i need,

Make me an offer...

Anyone know if they're available in longer lengths?

I realise the short one supplied is designed so that you tuck your phone/ipod in the space provided, but I can see 2 issues:-

The device will be visible from outside the car when parked.

If you're using the phone for eg sat-nav, it's not visible.

Thought I'd try a longer cable in conjunction with a Brodit-style charging cradle mounted higher up. With the phone fully visible, more likely to remind you to take it with you

Don't think they come in longer lengths

I have a brodit mount and velcroed the mitsumi cable away and run a lighting extension cable up to the mount

Look on eBay. I'm sure I've seen mitsumi extension cables there.
