Need some help for my brother inlaw

Featured Replies

Hi guys, brother inlaw has a 08 reg pd170 octavia estate and hes after an egr delete. I have a fabia myself with its egr deleted but i dont have a clue how to direct him on his. Can anyone help me help him? Cheers!

pd170 must be an Oct mk2.  I did spot a post from a a fabia guy organising a group buy..  I am never sure if an EGR delete (complete removal) is a good thing as that takes away the anti-shudder valve (at least on the mk1), which could save the engine in the event of a seal failure in the turbo.

Thanks mate! And yeah ive just realised i should have posted this in the mark 2 section, but i had a few beers last night thats probably why i forgot haha. And regarding the anti shudder valve, i find on my fabia that if i keep the clutch in when i turn off the engine it stops it shuddering. Will this be the case on the octavia?
