Brake caliper bolts.

Featured Replies

Hi folks!

First time posting in the forum after getting my vrs mk1 back in April.

Long story short, my front passenger side brakes are squeeling whilst braking under 15mph. So I'm going to take them off and clean everything up and hope that does the trick. Not to mention general maintenance.

However, I am wondering is it super important to tighten the caliper bolts to the correct torque or would just tightening them hand tight suffice?

Thanks!

As long as they are "FT" I think that would be fine. :)

The 12mm caliper bolts have a fairly low torque on them, about 30 Nm iirc.

caliper or carrier bolts?
