Which optional extras are worth adding?

Featured Replies

Ordered a new Rapid but was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on whether these optional extras are worth adding?

1. Rear parking sensors

2. Body coloured protective side mouldings

3. Spare wheel

I've been arguing for and against each of them for weeks now lol

Spare wheel. It will always work, unlike the can of gunk / compressor combo. Rear parking sensors are useful if someone who drives it has been known to reverse into things......

Definately get the spare wheel, less hassle obviously than the foam/compressor kit.

Parking sensors would be a consideration for me also and maybe tinted glass for the rear windows.

Going from a Ford KA, perhaps parking sensors might be a sensible choice lol

I just resent the £30 a year increase in premiums for having them.

I agree with the 3 options listed there, parking is hard since the rear end is so high up, spare wheel is a must, protective side mouldings also are good to save the front doors from getting damaged when opening them near another car on a carpark or in a garage.

I would add (if it's available) sports seats.

Then, rear boot rubber mat.

Electric windows.

Maxi DOT.

Cruise control.

Def

Rear sensors - boot is big and vision limited

DSG ;<) smooth

Cruise control - lazy

Rear bumper / boot protector - practical

Sill protectors / enhancers - practical and smart

Steering wheel comms / Phone / entertaiment controls - practical, stock BT
