Cleaned up bottom plus some minor surgery!

Featured Replies

Just got my car back from the body shop, I had an incident loading my bike on the rack a few weeks ago and let just say the pedal won!  Anyway, turned a negative into a plus and decided to de-badge and add a boot lip spoiler.  Its a Superskoda v3 if anyone is interested, cost me £69 delivered, plus painting and fitting, ordered it a few weeks ago when they had a 20% sale on, perfect fit and the chap at the body shop said it was good quality to work with.

Thanks to Andyvee for the recommendation, Curbishleys in Chesterfield, did a great job.

That's bad damage on the number plate though!! Bloody pedal.

Good job.

The pedal damage was on the panel where the badges were originally fixed, just to the right of the flying arrow, so the whole of that top section above the number plate has been re-sprayed.

I am not a fan of debadging, however seeing your car I must say it does give it a clean look.

That was on my old Superb, I did manage to get a good enough finish to fool the monkey that picked it up when it went back to the lease company, but I have to admit the sides of the spokes are difficult to get a smooth finish on the lacquer.

Lease companies - you just park the damaged side tight against a wall don't you, and make sure it hasn't been washed for at least 3 months before they collect :)

...and don't forget to make sure it's running on fumes so they have to pour a can of fuel in or risk conking out round the corner!

Maybe this spoiler gets rid of the booming noise :D

Unfortunately, or fortunately for me, I don't get the booming, so can't really comment, just the "blooming" generally hard ride!

Yet amazingly some people still want to add sports suspension! Its already got the bloomin sports suspension! I reckon that extra is a con on the Octy. When the factory see those orders they probably laugh to themselves, and put an announcement over the factory tannoy- "Hey lads, we've got another one"! Someone then goes and fetches a chassis with normal suspension, and paints the words 'Sports' on it :D

Enough excuses. Andy and I will be round shortly.

Just make sure the kettle is on as well :D
