Hi Folks

Featured Replies

Just sold my 2010 Mk 6 Golf estate 1.6 tdi. Am travelling to Dunfermline tomorrow (14/7/2014) to pick up my first Skoda. It is a Fabia Estate 3 1.9 tdi. 2008 and I am collecting it from the main dealers. Reason for "downsizing".. my wife wanted something a bit smaller than the Golf but roomier than her Fox. The Fox will be going as well, we cannot justify two cars now. Hoping we have made the right choice, choosing the 1.9 engine was carefully thought through. We had this type of engine in our previous VW Caddy maxi life (2008) and most of you will know it does not have the dreaded DPF. My Golf with the 1.6 tdi had done 117000 miles and drove really well, but lurking in the back of your mind was the dpf. At £1400 to replace it is a worry I am glad to be rid of. Looking forward to this new marque in our driving lives, let us hope the Fabia lives up to the positive remarks it attracts. Cheers - Bob
