Got a PFL VRS with the totaly horrid silver trim. Am in the process of having them painted piano black. However, the paint/primer and any combination of the two keeps reacting with the silver paint below and shrinking. Anyone recomend any products used in previous success that avoid having to flat the whole of the silver paint off? [emoji58][emoji58][emoji58]

Does anyone have pics of the job completed? Have thought about wrap but gloss black is the only desired option and I'm yet to be convinced of the finish from wrap.

All my silver trims been done in black flock

I would guess like painting anything the area needs to be "keyed" to work, maybe a slight sanding/roughing of the area and a etching primer?

 

I do like a flocking!! Was it hard to flock?
