Rear Washer Wiper

Featured Replies

Had the new car over 5 week now and loving it. QUick question though.

The rear window washer doesn't seem to spray over the window and only sprays on the top of the washer arm. The washer arm then pushes the water across the screen. Tried to adjust it using in a pin but seems that is the best it does. Just a bit strange since no other car I has (including my Octy 2 did it like this). Is this just how it is? Hubby says it is because the screen is curved and it will spray over the road if it positioned any higher. Probably just me being a twit :-)

Mine does this. I usually give it a spray to start it off and then another one while the wiper's travelling along the window, which seems to distribute it much better. Dunno whether this is a 'feature' or not though.

This is how they are it seems, best i've got mine of to spray at the top then run down the glass.

and I thought it was me !!, as other say it seems to work though

Think this is something that's migrated from Audi... exactly what my 2010 Q7 used to do!

My mk2 used to spray everywhere. Prefer mk3 type

Exactly as per CainDingle.  Give it a quick squirt to start it off then hold the button to give a good spray while wiping.  Not the best design.

My mk2 was the same, you just have to time your squirts. My fronts don't go on the screen at speeds of <30mph. Go figure

:)
