Do you recommend skoda to your family member :) ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I am looking for new car.(how stupid it can sound :)

Skoda is one of the brands in the list. I would like to hear honest opinion about skoda octavia skoda yeti etc Do you recommend it  or not and why. I am interested in details: engines, engine faults , rust, model complectation, service cost. My previous experience is only with german and japanese cars. I am disappointed with my last pick volkswagen passat 2006 2.0. Now I am looking for something new and reliable. If tis wrong place just redirect me to right forum with right brand ;)

Thank you !

Thats interesting do they like that cheapest model with 1.2 engine active , or 1.8 and higher elegance or L&K which costs like an audi ? :)

And most important does skoda rust because audi dont 100% vw rust but audi no :) And why skoda , why not Seat ?

You really need to read the Yeti forum to see what owners think of their Yetis. I have an Octavia II with the 1.8TSi engine and I love the smoothness of that engine's power delivery and its quietness. The L&K Yeti may seem expensive but spec for spec the Audi costs a lot more.

I have owned a Felicia and a 2002 Octavia 1.8T 4X4, and currently own a Fabia vRS and the Octavia I mentioned above. None have suffered from rust problems. Why would I want a SEAT?

To sit down on???

Yeti is the best all round car I've ever had.

And I've had a few...

My wife got the first one.

I saw it, liked it and replaced my Range Rover with a Yeti.

Then my Mum saw them, liked them and bought one.

Then my Cousin borrowed one of ours and bought one.

Then we bought another one.

So now we have five Yeti in the family.

What more is there to say?

I've had 1 skoda estelle, 2 favorits, 1 felicia and 5 octavias and a yeti. The yeti is fun but has been the most unreliable of the lot. The sunroof was plumbed into the interior causing mould and the entire interior to be replaced. The climate control has failed twice and been replaced twice. But I seem to be an isolated case.
