No idea what you've done, but it sounds goosed to me :(

It's not boosting at all today just makes the noise and goes nowhere but no smoke.

Made same noise he other day and then just stopped and started boosting again

Mine made the same noise for about a day and then went bang. Only happened this week, it must be the time of year!

I think you may (will) need a new one.

if there's no boost but no smoke you might have snapped the shaft. in a way this would be good news as you wont need to clean any bits of smashed impeller out of your boost pipes/intercooler.

 

the only way to find out for sure is to take the intake and exhaust off the turbo and try spinning both sides (if they can move independently the shaft has snapped)

Wouldn't risk driving that any more until you have done what he said ^^^^ it sounds fooked

It's parked up on the drive and not going to be driven anywhere. Where's the best place on cardiff to get it repaired as I don't fancy doing it myself

I actually thought you were taking the **** there and making that noise yourself Jesus that is bad ! Definately a new turbo jobby mate. Makes me feel a lot better about the noise mine makes now thow lol

I think I've just woken my parents up from laughing so much at the noise that's making haha (not laughing at your loss though, sorry about that :( )

That's the dreaded police siren noise. Typically expired turbo unfortunately

Mine and vrsrs make the siren noise when cold but nothing more.

Took it to dealers as it's under warranty and they said it's not bad enough to change...
